Our School

Everything done at LEADING LIGHTS has been intrinsically designed to set a child up for success. Children are given Lessons with materials from choosing activities they would like to work with. They can repeat and explore them as they desire. At the same time they are closely observed by teachers who gently encourage children to master the activity.

Our classrooms are organised into following areas of learning:

We have comprehensive child-centric programs that comes with set objectives in all major areas of development such as physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, language, maths and creativity. There are clear methodologies to implement our curriculum and meet the objectives for every child. To ensure that the set goals are being achieved, teachers observe, record & assess to maximise the child's potential. All areas of work for the child, both internal and external have been planned with extreme care to facilitate self learning, and implement the objectives set in the curriculum.

For a child below 6, curriculum comprises the environment which in turn means the tools that we offer the child to learn. It is essential that a young child gets daily experience with learning aids which have specific usage, derived from the curriculum.

Between the age of 1.5 and 6, children develop extremely rapidly in spurts. We have to track these changes carefully and keep challenging the child to ensure optimum development. So our curriculum is completely dependent on the age of the child. It begins when the child is 1.5 years (18month).

We have a curriculum plan for:
1.5 to 2.5 years
2.6 to 3.5 years
3.6 to 4.5 years
4.6 to 5.5 years

Each child will follow his own plan, pace and style of learning. We offer your child an opportunity to have fun, make new friends and develop sensory, social and communication skills through academic materials, rhymes, stories and thematic activities which are designed to their age.

Our programme for child integrates academic materials plus creative and thematic concepts to make the foundation stronger for each child's future success in life; the stronger the start, the greater the finish.

Before children transition out, we prepare the child for class 1 in a conventional environment which is critical to their adjustment in a new school. Our aim is to maximise the potential of every child by treating them as active learners that need choice and independence. LEADING LIGHTS’ Montessori education teaches children how to learn instead of just what to learn. The end result is a lifelong love of learning which primes them for successful careers in any direction they pursue. Children who benefit from these experiences implemented by us grow into academically equipped, socially adept and clear thinking confident adults.
